![]() Japan has released a third expansion, Motto Tanto Cuore, last November. Check the event listing in the above link for more details.Īrclight is still set to release a second English expansion, Romantic Vacation sometime soon (within a year), which introduces “reminisce” cards in place of events to keep things fresh. I was first introduced to it at SakuraCon last year. Also, if you go to cons, and such, Arclight often has booths set up where maids teach you how to play Tanto Cuore. Props to Arclight and Japanime games for bringing Tanto Cuore to us maid lovers here in the United States. ![]() Each set can be played standalone, or be combined with other sets for a bit of more fun, bringing some individuality and strategy into the game. Secondly, because you get the entire set when you purchase the game, there are no rares or boosters you need to seek, so everyone playing should be on equal ground. One reads “Even maids can swing a buster sword!”. A lot of them also have flavor text that is amusing. The maids are all unique, and have various attributes that help you build your victory conditions while being very artsy and colorful. It takes about an hour to fully complete a game, but no two games are ever alike, especially with four people. I must say, the game is rather fun, but that might just be because I enjoy card games. Who knows? Maids may be in your area teaching you how to play! The Tanto Cuore main page has all the info and rulings you might need, as well as an event listing. I won’t go into a full description of the rules, but one get them here. Opponents can counter with illness and force bad habits upon your maid squad, so it not all just fun in games. Designed for two to four players, basically one takes turns being the Master, summoning employing maids while building a “house”, using events, and acquiring life points victory points and heart. ![]() You'll need to import decks from the other games and modify card counts based on what the manuals say, so I've included all the artworks in the zip files. Not too long ago, Arclight Games released the English edition of the Tanto Cuore: Expanding the House expansion set of the still up-and-coming deck building card game. No duplications necessary!įirst-time players should play the games in order, then try combining the sets for even more fun! (To combine sets, follow the instructions in the manuals. I've also included all of the playable general maids on each table- so when starting a game, feel free to pick the maids you want to use, and toss the rest into a big stack and move them out of the way. I've borrowed assets from the other user who built Tanto Cuore in TTS first, but made modifications to the table setups, (including setting the "towns" to ones recommended by the printed manuals for first-time players) modified the table art to reflect the appropriate games, and corrected card counts as based on my personal printed copies of the games. (Sorry, no scanner so unable to post the rulebook for Romantic Vacation. Rules for Tanto Cuore and Expanding the House can be found here. My friends and I call it "Maid-themed Dominion," or just "Maids" Tanto Cuore is a wonderful Japanese deckbuilder. ![]()
